ACT for Adolescents for Beginners with Louise Hayes Session 4

Recorded Workshop
Presenter: Dr Louise Hayes
Please note: you will have access to this recording for 6 weeks

Dr Louise Hayes is thrilled to offer this workshop after years of building on the DNA-V model, a developmentally solid Acceptance and Commitment Therapy approach to working with young people. The DNA-V model allows you to target specific life issues that young people face — for example, anxiety, depression, low self confidence and bullying.  It is now being used in schools, clinics and everywhere that young people seek help.

In this workshop, you will learn how to use the model DNA-V easily and effectively. Louise will get straight into working with young people with a focus on practical applications. Louise  will demonstrate how to use the model to build your skills with young people in a workshop that is suitable for all professionals who work with young people, including psychologists, counsellors, social workers and teachers, using techniques that work individually with young people in therapy, and scale this up to groups in classrooms.

The workshop is fun, creative and will focus on teaching you how to be experiential with young people, using a full range of techniques that go beyond talking at them, to make your sessions alive and engaging.

Comes with a FREE copy of her new book, Your Life, Your Way: ACT Skills to help teens manage emotions & build resilience!

You will learn how to confidently and dynamically engage young people aged 12 to 24 years in topics like:

• How to help young people build strong relationships,

• How to help young people with self-confidence

• What to do with anxiety and overthinking,

•How to help with low mood,

• What to do about bullying,

….and more!

This live online workshop will be split across four sessions, over two weeks. You’ll be able to enhance your learning, and get time to practice in between. The course will have experiential techniques, breakouts into small group discussions, and of course, fun.

You will receive:

• An e-book copy of the new book, Your Life Your Way.

• Electronic handouts

• Access to other electronic materials for use with young people
