ACT for Adolescents: Your Life Your Way with Louise Hayes: Session 2
Recorded Workshop
Presenter: Dr Louise Hayes
Please note: you will have access the recording for 3 weeks after the live event
Join Dr Louise Hayes, leading world expert in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy Training (ACT) for young people, a clinical psychologist and author for this online training event. You will receive a unique insight into the DNA-V model, which has specifically been designed for young people, using cutting edge research from positive psychology to bring a truly developmental focus to your work with young people. It’s all about mindfulness and growth.
Louise will demonstrate how to use the model to build your skills with young people in a workshop that is suitable for all professionals who work with young people, including psychologists, counsellors, social workers and teachers. Using techniques that work individually with young people in therapy, and scale this up to groups in classrooms.
On 1st September Louise Hayes, along with Joseph Ciarrochi, will release her new book, Your Life Your Way. Louise is thrilled to offer this new workshop after two years of writing the new DNA-V book, which is in self-help format, directly for young people to read. This is her most exciting book DNA-V work yet because it targets specific life issues that young people face — what to do with depression, what to do if you are anxious etc. This workshop will teach you how to use DNA-V easily and effectively.
The workshop is fun and creative and will focus on teaching you how to be experiential with young people and use a full range of techniques that go beyond talking at them, to make your sessions alive and engaging. Louise will get straight into working with young people with a focus on practical applications. The training is suitable for people who are new to the model as well as those that have attended in the past. The workshop is targeted learning on specific issues, including:
• How to help young people build strong relationships,
• How to help young people with self-confidence
• What to do with anxiety and overthinking,
•How to help with low mood,
• What to do about bullying,
….and more!
You will learn how to confidently and dynamically engage young people aged 12 to 24 years.
This live online workshop will be split across four sessions: Thursday 26th Nov, 3rd, 10th & 17th December, 2020. This way we can enhance your learning, manage screen time and provide a connected experience. There will be experiential techniques, breakouts into small group discussions/ practice, and of course fun.
