Linda Nicholson
Dr Linda Nicholson is a clinical psychologist based in Canberra, Australia, with over 20 years of clinical experience and more than 15 years as a supervisor, trainer, and clinical educator. Formerly the Psychology Clinic Manager at the Australian National University, where she trained clinical psychologists, Linda now provides supervision, consultation, and training to psychologists both across Australia and internationally.
Linda’s work is deeply grounded in acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and integrates behavioural, cognitive, and compassion-focused approaches. She is passionate about developing reflective, flexible, and values-guided practitioners who can balance fidelity to the ACT model with their unique professional growth. Linda co-developed the SHAPE framework for ACT supervision alongside Dr Eric Morris, a model that has been presented through the Association for Contextual Behavioural Science (ACBS) and international training organisations.
