Patricia Robinson

Dr. Patricia Robinson is the cofounder of the Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH) model and Focused Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (FACT).

Patricia is currently the Director of Training and Program Evaluation for Mountainview Consulting Group (www.Mtnviewconsulting.com), founded in 1998 and which won the APA Presidential Innovative Practice Award in 2009.

For the past 16 years, she has assisted healthcare organizations in implementing primary care services informed by PCBH and FACT in the United States and in other countries.

Patricia is a “generalist” and teaches FACT methods for use with children, adolescents, and adults.

Her passion these days is teaching clinicians who practice FACT to teach FACT to others (train the trainer). Interprofessional groups are a favourite training audience for her.

Her mission of promoting better access to health care services began in her early career, when she worked as a researcher and clinician for Group Health Cooperative in Seattle, WA and then as a Behavioural Health Consultant for in a migrant healthcare service in Toppenish, WA (Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic).

She has authored over 50 professional publications, including 11 books.

Patricia lives to nature and is mother to 3 daughters, 3 puggles (a cross between a Beagle and a Pug) and 5 grandchildren. She lives with Kirk by the Nehalem River and the Neahkahnie mountains in Wheeler, Oregon.
