Princess and the pea (expansion) script

This script from Dr Kristy Potter uses the well-known fairy-tale – Princess and the Pea, as an analogy for the client. It uses this with an adaptation of expansion from Dr Russ Harris. to create an exercise about how we could try to change the impact of the pea on the princess’s sleep, and then consider how to change the clients approach to pain.

The story is used to help demonstrate that all types of sensations can have impacts on us, not to get into a discussion about big vs small etc, showing how anything can have an impact on us and our wellbeing and that this can lead to suffering.
