Values conflicts metaphor

When we talk about values an important part is remembering there will sometimes be conflicts in our values. How we approach these conflicts can affect how flexibly we deal with them.

When we view our values as in competition with each other, we can become rigid. It is important to keep a healthy perspective so we can be flexible in how we hold our values. Sometimes this may be consciously choosing which value you are currently focussing on and making peace with not being able to fulfil them all at the same time.
