Reflections on an enriching year: Contextual Consulting 2023 highlights

As we begin to wind down 2023 and eagerly embrace the new year, we thought it would be a perfect time to take a moment and appreciate the extraordinary journey we have had at Contextual Consulting this year. It’s been an enriching time filled with workshops, supervision sessions, therapy, and impactful charity work.

Or if you would rather read than watch, lets delve into some of the details.

A year of growth

This year we’ve been proud to host 19 live workshops with our incredible expert team including Dr Russ Harris, Dr Louise Hayes, Dr Ray Owen, and many more. These workshops provided a convenient and accessible platform for learning and professional development adding up to over 100+ hours of live CE accredited training!
But it didn’t stop there. We also offered over 100 hours of on-demand training, allowing individuals to learn at their own pace and convenience. This combination of live and on-demand learning opportunities has made 2023 a year of growth and knowledge expansion and we’ve got more to come. We have plans in place to bring you even more free ACT resources, opportunities for knowledge sharing and of course, plenty more training sessions! Take a look at the schedule for next year on our live training page.

Reaching across borders

Our reach and impact were not just confined to one locale. We extended our ACT services to over 60 countries, from Australia to the United States of America, China to Denmark, to Germany, Argentina, South Africa,
France, Türkiye and many more. Our global footprint stands as a testament to our unwavering commitment to making quality education and resources for ACT therapy accessible to everyone, regardless of their geographic location.

Affordable learning for all

Not only did we reach numerous countries, but we also made sure that our services were affordable. We offered a 50% discount to professionals from developing nations and special discounts for students. Our aim was to eliminate financial barriers and empower individuals from all walks of life to access our high-quality ACT resources. By doing so, we hope we have created a truly inclusive and equitable learning environment.

Therapy and supervision sessions

Alongside workshops and training, we also offered over 600 therapy sessions delivered by our team of clinical psychologists. Moreover, we conducted 300 supervision sessions too, under the guidance of our expert supervision team. These sessions served as invaluable sources of learning and growth, benefiting our community in profound ways. We are proud to have achieved such fantastic numbers through our close-knit and expert team.

Making a difference

Our work was not limited to learning and development. We also focused on giving back to the community. Our charity workshop with Dr Ray Owen raised £4000 to date for the Developing Nations Training Fund of the Association of Contextual Behavioural Science (ACBS). Additionally, sales of Dr Louise Hayes’ ACT values cards have resulted in a running total of £4860 for Sanjiwani Public Health Service Health Mission in Nepal. A huge thanks to everyone who supported us in these initiatives.

Building a vibrant ACT community

We’re not just about services and products. We’re a thriving community. Over 20,000 of you have joined us on our social channels, creating a vibrant space for discussion, learning, and growth. Your contribution and support have been instrumental in making this year a success.

If you don’t already follow us, we’d love to see you join in on our Facebook, X, Instagram and YouTube channels. Or connect with us over on LinkedIn.

As we step into 2024, we’re filled with gratitude and excitement. Thank you for being a part of our journey. Here’s to another great year!
