Ditte Hoffmann Frydendal

Dr Ditte Hoffmann Frydendal is a clinical psychologist (cand.psych.) with a PhD from Aarhus University in Denmark. She completed her doctoral research on internet-delivered Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (iACT) for health anxiety at the Clinic for Functional Disorders at Aarhus University Hospital. As part of her research, she developed and tested the efficacy of the iACT programme for health anxiety, which today is implemented in routine care nationally.

She has published a book chapter on ACT for health anxiety, as well as several scientific articles. Today, she works clinically in private practice and delivers workshops and talks about ACT, health anxiety, and functional disorders. She chairs the Association for Digital Psychology within the Danish Psychological Association and hosts a Danish podcast series about health anxiety (“Hypokonder med Ditte og Kasper”).
