Victoria Samuel
Dr Victoria Samuel is a researcher and practicing clinical psychologist who has worked clinically for 20 years. Based on her enthusiasm for the relevance, resonance, and striking efficacy of the ACT therapeutic approach, Victoria has developed a research focus on the protective effect of psychological flexibility in diverse populations. Over the last 5 years, Victoria has overseen a rigorous programme of research based at Cardiff University to develop a novel, evidence-based (and service-user informed) brief universal resilience intervention for secondary school pupils: Interactive Training in Emotional Resilience with ACT (InTER-ACT). Victoria is passionate about making ACT accessible to young people, viewing ACT as a life skill, as much as a therapeutic intervention.
