Psychological Flexibility with Dr Joe Oliver

In this video, Dr Joe Oliver talks through the concept of psychological flexibility – the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and manage our internal experiences.

The video also briefly covers the six core components of acceptance and commitment therapy (or ACT) and gives examples of how psychological inflexibility can limit our life choices and overall well-being. Joe gives 4 simple tips to helping improve psychological flexibility (these are also available to read in detail on our ‘4 tips’ blog).

DR JOE OLIVER is a consultant clinical psychologist and founder of Contextual Consulting. Joe is also the Associate Professor and program director of the University College London CBT for severe mental health problems Post-Graduate Program.
