OCD can take up a lot of time and energy. For teens this might mean it interferes with school, friendships, and hobbies during a life stage that is already filled with uncertainty, anxiety and change. In this short video Dr Ben Sedley talks through the dragon and armour metaphor, a story that can help young people understand the cycle of fear and compulsions, but also how to begin breaking free from them. It is a a practical and relatable approach for psychologists, therapists, and coaches working with teens.
