Internal family systems (IFS) – Dr. Richard Schwartz explains

Pioneered by Dr. Richard Schwartz in the 1980s, Internal family systems (IFS) therapy is a form of psychotherapy that conceptualises the human mind as a collection of distinct yet interconnected “sub-personalities” or “parts.” Each of these parts is believed to possess its own perspective, emotions, and behaviours, creating a multifaceted and dynamic inner landscape.

In this short video, the founder Dr. Richard Schwartz, gives an overview of the internal family systems model.

DR RICHARD SCHWARTZ is an academic, author, and founder of the internal family systems (IFS) branch of therapy.
